Aerial Development kickstarts East Nashville development

An upstart Nashville developer has started construction on a 10-acre development in East Nashville, another sign of its expanding ambitions.

Aerial Development Group plans 62 cottage-style homes, ranging from 1,250 square feet to 2,400 square feet. The project, announced Sept. 15, is named East Greenway Park — a nod to the close proximity and new access that will be established between the development and a couple of Metro parks, including Shelby Bottoms Greenway and Nature Park.

The project adds to Aerial’s portfolio, which also includes a planned 150-unit multifamily project in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. Aerial has built 250 homes in urban Nashville since CEO Britnie Turner founded the company five years ago. This summer, Aerial began expanding beyond Nashville by acquiring apartment communities in Knoxville and Savannah, Ga.
