Cultivating success in industries across the board – from music and medicine to technology and even space travel – this year’s featured Women in Business are paving the way for female leaders in Nashville and beyond.
Britnie Turner
Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Aerial Development Group
As a 21-year-old struggling to make ends meet at the height of the recession, Britnie Turner had a vision of revitalizing urban neighborhoods to establish more sustainable economies. Seven years later, Turner’s Aerial Development Group is thriving not only as a construction company, but also as a purpose driven brand. “We now have six separate companies functioning in different industries under the Aerial brand, all carrying out our mission of elevating people and places,” Turner says.
While Aerial is based in Nashville, the company’s footprint extends throughout the Southeast, simultaneously building communities and inspiring economic transformation – a mission that Turner has fought for since founding the company in 2009.
“Though real estate development is currently male-dominated,” Turner explains, “I hope to empower other women to know they can exist in this industry as a leader and to realize that a woman’s perspective can be a powerful force in disrupting the industry and creating positive change.”
