Hometown Heroes: 50 Phenomenal Women of the Year Who Are Making a Difference

Following mission trips to Kenya and Costa Rica, Britnie Turner, 26, founded Aerial Development Group, a real estate development company that, for every home sold, sponsors a child at a Kenyan orphanage for one year (homeowners have the option to continue the sponsorship after that). So far this year the group has sponsored more than 50 children. It’s not only a worthy project, it’s a thriving one; the company is the fastest growing real estate company and the largest residential infill developer in the city of Nashville. Turner says, “No matter how little you have, you give before taking.”
