Britnie Turner, founder and CEO of Aerial Development Group, is a 2015 Enterprising Woman of the Year, Enterprising Women magazine’s annual tribute to the world’s top women entrepreneurs.
Turner, who heads the Nashville residential and commercial real estate development company, is among the honorees that will be recognized at the 13th annual Enterprising Women of the Year Awards & Conference later this month in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
The awards recognize women who have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls involved in entrepreneurship, and stand out as leaders in their communities. Many of the honorees also serve as leaders of the key organizations that support the growth of women’s entrepreneurship.
This year, award winners were recognized in seven categories, based on annual sales revenues. Turner was a winner in the annual sales revenues of more than $10 million and up to $25 million.
At the age of 21, Turner founded Aerial Development Group to feed two passions: revitalizing urban neighborhoods and supporting orphans in Africa. For each home sold, Aerial Development sponsors an orphan for one year in the name of the homeowner(s). Homeowners have an option to continue with their own support. In 2014, more than 60 orphans were sponsored by the company and homeowners.
